Looks like no one added any tags here yet for you.
You spoke a lot about what happened that day on direct.
Just to be clear, you never spoke to either of the hostage takers.
Or to Coste Uto
Or to any of the other members of the media
Or to any of the hostage on the bus.
Everything you know about the situation came from videos you watched.
And things you read after Silke passed
After Silke passed, you were placed back into foster care
With the Armengentos family
As your foster family, they were in charge of physical well-being
And they were in charge of your emotional well-being
Let’s talk about what they did for your emotional well-being. After your sister passed, the Armengentos did not take you to therapy.
Or to see a school counselor
They ddi not even talk to you about your problem
Or offer you any comfort at all
In fact, they were never around.
They were traveling
When they traveled, they didn’t take you with them.
Instead, they left you at home.
With the house staff.
You were just 15 years old.
You were left, basically, alone.
While you were alone, you started self-medicating
When you were alone, you started smoking marijuana
And drinking
This went on for an entire year
Yet, the Armengentos still never tried to get you any help.
And you were just 16 at the time.
And still under their care
After this year, emotional well being got worse
Things just exploded
You got into all kinds of drugs
And developed a drug problem
At this point, you were still alone at the Armengentos house
And they still did not take you to therapy
Or to see a school counselor
Or to a rehab program
They did not even talk to you about your problem
They did not even talk to you about your problem
Or intervene in any way.
And without intervention, we can agree that things got even worse.
Then, and only then, you fell in with a bad crowd.
You were acting out.
The Armengentos never talked to you about this crowd you were hanging out with.
Or tried to introduce you to a different group of friends.
Once again, they did nothing to intervene.
You were eventually convicted of a crime.
And had to spend a year in juvenile detention.
Now, you didn’t have an opportunity to go to therapy for that year.
Or to see a counselor.
There was nothing offered in juvenile detention to help you through the grieving process.
You were released when you were 18.
And could not return to the Armengentos.
But after being released, you were an adult.
You were able to make decisions for yourself.
And one of those decisions you made was to go to therapy.
By the time you were 20, you’d seen numerous counselors
After starting counseling, you quit taking drugs.
After getting the help you needed, you quit drinking.
You no longer have nightmares.
Or any suicidal ideations
