Pubic Bone Isolation Test
The test performed to assess the pubic bone position after adjusting the medial and lateral knees until the PD leg is even with the OPD leg.
Possibility 1
A condition where the PD leg is short in P#1 and relatively long in P#2, indicating specific adjustments are necessary.
Short/Long Rule (S/L Rule)
A guideline for adjustments after an Isolation Test, where if the PD leg lengthens in P#2, adjust on the PD side; if it shortens, adjust on the OPD side.
Isolation Test (IT)
A procedure where the legs should be even before testing; used to identify subluxations based on changes in PD leg length.
CP (Contact Point)
The specific area on the body where pressure or adjustment is applied during a treatment.
LOD (Line of Drive)
The direction in which a force is applied during an adjustment.
Possibility 2
A condition where the PD leg is short in P#1 and remains short or becomes shorter in P#2, starting the analysis at Lumbar 4.
Medial Scapula Subluxation
When the inferior angle of the scapula points across the body to the long leg in P#2.
Lateral Scapula Subluxation
When the inferior angle of the scapula points to the same side of the body as the long leg in P#2.
Initial Leg Check
The first assessment done when a patient lays prone, determining initial leg length to identify each possibility.
C1 Isolation Test
Test to assess C1 subluxation by observing PD leg changes when the chin is tucked toward the chest.
C2 Isolation Test
Test to assess C2 subluxation, observing PD leg changes when the chin is tucked toward the chest.
Activator Method
A chiropractic technique that uses a hand-held instrument for adjustments instead of manual methods.
Subluxation
A misalignment of bones or joints that causes nerve interference, leading to potential dysfunction.
