Fix the Time to Which to Adjourn
to set the date and hour for another meeting to continue business of the session, with no effect on when the present meeting will adjourn

Appeal
taking the question from the chair and vested in the assembly for final decision
- must be seconded
- is debatable (unless it is made when an undebatable question in pending or involved)

- to be made at the time of the chair's ruling

Suspend the Rules
When the assembly wishes to do something during a meeting that will violate one or more regular rules
- must be seconded
- not debatable
- requires a 2/3 vote
"I move to suspend the rules and take up the item now that is under new business"
Withdraw a motion
To take back a motion - must be presented before the motion has been stated by the chair
"Madam President, I withdraw the motion"
Chair: "The motion has been withdrawn"
Object to consideration
enables the assembly to avoid the main motion altogether when it believes it would be strongly undesirable for the motion even to come before the assembly.
- Does not require a second
- Is not debatable
- Is not amendable
- Requires 2/3 vote *rising
"Madam President, I object to the consideration of the motion"

Division of Question
To divide the main motion into 2 parts
"I move to divide the main motion into 2 parts so that the first part reads ... and so that the second part reads ..."

- Is amendable

Request for Information
Requesting information about the main motion
"Madam President, I have a request for information"
Chair: State your request
"What date will this event take place?"
Chair: member name as the maker of this motion, can you please answer the request?
Lay on the Table
Enables the assembly to lay the pending question aside temporarily when something else of immediate urgency has arisen or when something else needs to be addressed before the pending question
- must be seconded
- is not debatable
- not amendable
- requres a majority vote
"Madam president, I move to lay the motion on the table"
Chair: It is moved and seconded to lay the pending motion on the table
Take from the Table
Make pending again before the assembly a motion that has previously been laid on the table
- must be seconded
- is not debatable
- is not amendable
- requires a majority vote
"Madam President, I rise for the purpose of moving to take a question from the table"
Reconsider
to bring back for further consideration a motion that has already been voted on. the member moving to reconsider must have voted on the prevailing side of the quesiton to be considered. the making of this motion must be subjected to time limits
