Exponential Function
The function f (x)= 2^x is called an exponential function because the variable, x, is the exponent.
It should not be confused with the power function g(x)= x^ 2, in which the variable is the base.
Law of Exponents

What are the law of exponents?
The law of exponents provides rules for simplifying expressions with exponents.
Natural Exponential Function
f(x)= e^x
