Anterior Drawer (Ankle)
one hand on shin, one hand on heal, pull/push opposite directions
testing for pain and laxity

one hand on knee, one hand on shin
push the knee from the inside
Valgus Stress test (Knee)
one hand on knee, one hand on shin
push the knee from the outside

put weight on athlete’s foot
place hands on eyes of knee
push and pull
Ober test (hip/IT band)
have athlete lay on side with hips flexed
place one hand on hip, one hand below calf
lift calf, pull back slightly, slowly let it fall
Thomas Test (Illiopsoas and rectus femoris)
have athlete sit on the edge of the table
have them hold one knee and lay back
looking for gap between resting leg and table and angle of the knee

L4 = resisted ankle dorsiflexion

Hawkins-Kennedy Test (shoulder)
testing for impingement
lift athlete’s arm to shoulder height
bend their forearm down
move their arm more in front of them and test again
Drop arm test
testing for rotator cuff tear or weakness
have athlete abduct arm to shoulder height
have them slowly lower their arm
Spica for GH Joint
