Yeast extract
Pancreatic digest
Sodium thioglycollate

What purpose is FTB used for?
Best medium for a wide variety of aerobic and anaerobic, complex (needs specific nutrient requirements), and non-complex bacteria
Why does the Fluid thioglycollate broth contain agar?
Thick agar helps to decrease the amount of oxygen that diffuses to the bottom
Explain the purpose of resazurin
An indicator of oxygen that turns pink in the presence of oxygen or remains colorless in the absence of oxygen

At the top of the FTB tube due to the requirement of oxygen to grow
