As opposed to visual arts, where artists use paint/canvas or other materials to create physical art objects

also known as cookery or professionally as the culinary arts, is the art, science, and craft of using heat to make food more palatable, digestible, nutritious, or safe. Techniques and ingredients vary widely, from grilling over an open fire, to using electric stoves, to baking in various types of ovens, reflecting local conditions. Cooking is an aspect of all human societies and a cultural universal.
Luzon Cuisine
known for its cooking methods that yield delicious results despite them being very simple.
Mindanao Cuisine
closer to Malay food (Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Thailand) due to the use of exotic spices. Dishes often use local produce, unlike Luzon which is more influenced by Spanish cuisine.

A popular breakfast food in Mindanao, especially Zamboanga.
Made of three small pieces of meat (beef and chicken liver) grilled on a stick like barbecue, served with rice balls in a sweet-spicy sauce.

A dish acquired by the Maranaos in Southern Philippines from Indonesia.
