Explain the significance of Jesus' baptism by John the Baptist.
Significant because he didn't need to be baptized by John, but he did so to be a model for us and enter into solidarity with us. He was baptized of repentance, but instituted Baptism for us to enter into his life.
Who can baptize?
In an emergency, anyone can (even non-Catholics)
Why does Baptism have a permanent seal?
Baptism has a permanent seal because you can only receive it once due to the fact that you can only enter into Christ's life once.
What does it mean to say that God is not bound by His sacraments?
He is much more than humans can understand. We have a limited view of who he is, and we are unable to fully comprehend his gift of salvation. The sacraments provide us with an experience of God, but God is much more than the form and matter we have attached to each.
What does it mean to say we are grafted onto Christ?
We are grafted onto Christ because through Baptism, we share in His Divine life. We are united with him as well as one another.
