Who wrote the Bible?
God did not directly come out the Bible. God worked through humans to give us the religious truth that he wanted us to have.
Revelation
The truth about God and about life that was revealed to us by God.
Salvation
The Bible is about Salvation. It is about the way God offers to save us. God saves us by making a covenant with humans as seen in historical events in the Bible
Oral Stage
Stories about experiences with God were memorized and passed down.

Council of Hippo
In 393 CE a meeting took place called the Council of Hippo. It included a number of bishops and was headed by St. Augustine. They selected books that were the most historically accurate and consistent with one another. The Bible hasn’t changed since this council which was over 1600 years ago.
