What is fracking and why is it used extensively
It blasts water and chemicals into the ground to extract oil and gas. It is very cheap and allows us to extract large amounts of fuels.

The burning of fuels can cause global warming

It can seriously damage the environment and cause death
What is fracking allowing the USA to do
It can become capable of being the world leader in oil and gas due to fracking and stop becoming dependent on other countries (like Russia and Saudi Arabia). It is also allowing for less unemployment as it produces many jobs.
What are regulations on fracking like in California
It is poorly regulated and isn’t controlled by the National Environment Act and the Clean Water act meaning it has alot of potential to damage areas and create illness.

It is causing small earthquakes in the area and is making houses unsafe and unsellable
