Titration
A technique used to determine the concentration of a solution (analyte) by reacting it with a solution of known concentration (titrant).
Buret
A graduated glass tube with a tap at one end, for delivering known volumes of a liquid, especially in titrations.
Erlenmeyer flask
A flask with a conical base and a cylindrical neck, used for mixing and titration.
Indicator (in acid-base titrations)
A substance that changes color depending on the pH of the solution, used to signal the endpoint of a titration.
Phenolphthalein
A common acid-base indicator that is colorless in acidic solutions and pink in basic solutions.
Molarity (mol/L)
A unit of concentration, defined as the number of moles of solute per liter of solution.
Volume percent (m/V%)
Expressing concentration as the mass of solute per 100 mL of solution.
