Polis
A community of citizens ruled by its male citizens.
Oligarchy
A form of government in which a small group of people controls the country
Hellenistic Era
Began with the conquest of the Persian Empire by Alexander the Great and was characterized by the spread of Greek language and ideas.
Socratic method
Used a question-and-answer format to lead pupils to see things for themselves, it is the teaching method of Socrates.

A form of government in which citizens elect their leaders.
