Hemorrhage
The loss of blood, either internally or externally.
External Bleeding
Bleeding from the outside of the body.
Arterial Bleeding
Bright red blood that spurts in time with the pulse; often the worst case of bleeding.
Venous Bleeding
Darker colored blood that flows more steadily, under less pressure than arterial bleeding.
Capillary Bleeding
Dark red blood that oozes steadily but slowly, typically because of low pressure.
Vasoconstriction
Narrowing of cut blood vessel ends to reduce blood flow.
Clotting (Coagulation)
The process of blood forming clots to stop bleeding.
