Why do you want to work for kroger?

I love kroger, my family and I have shopped here all my life. I feel like I would be proud to work for Kroger because of what it represents (charitable giving)

Why are you a good fit for this position?

I am a good fit because I am dependable. I’ve been put into many scenarios where I have had great personal responsibility working for and with large entities like JCPS and I’ve been able to prove that I am trustworthy and capable. Since I have been taking a class for national pharmacy tech certification, I understand the risks and responsibilities of the role, and I will be bringing in background knowledge about medicines and pharmacy processes. (I will soon be certified). And since I want to go into pharmacy as a career, I will be really passionate about my job.

What does being friendly mean? What is one time you’ve been friendly or went out of your way to make someone feel better?

Friendliness is thinking from the frame of mind as someone else. You think of what they’re going through, what’s on their mind, and you interact based on that. Just a few weeks ago, I was talking to my friend who goes to school at Purdue, he was talking about how he was a little lonely. So I surprised him by driving up to go see him one weekend out of the blue, and it totally enlivened him.

What’s an example of you having to do something hard?

When I was Treasurer of the NHS, I was tasked with personally informing some students that they were being removed from NHS because they failed to meet the continuing service requirements. I had to do it in person— no hiding behind screens or emails. When I did it, I made sure to be direct, but cognizant of their emotions. It was a very delicate situation but I handled it by being personable and understanding. It was all about putting myself in the head of the person I was talking to.
