A fragment of iron rubbed off by the use of a file used to show magnetic field lines.

Electromagnet

A device consisting of an iron or steel core that is magnetized by electric current in a coil that surrounds it.

The time rate of flow of electric charge, in the direction that a positive moving charge would take and having magnitude equal to the quantity of charge per unit time.
