why do women live longer than men

in 1800 IN SWEDEN- the life expectancy at birth was 33 for women and 31 for a man

this is possibly due to biology/lifespan

however could be due to the fact women do less demanding work and are less likely to damage their bodies (with drinking, smoking or overeating)
