National Service Law 1981
A law that requires all Filipino citizens between the ages of 18 to 30 to render national service in any of the three main programs:Civic Welfare Service, Law Enforcement Service, and Military Service.
NSTP (National Service Training Program)
A program in the Philippines that aims to enhance youth's civic consciousness and defense preparedness through the development of ethics of service and patriotism.
ROTC (Reserve Officer Training Corps)
A component of the NSTP program that provides military training to students.
LTS (Literacy Training Service)
A component of the NSTP program that focuses on improving the literacy and numeracy skills of individuals and communities.
CWTS (Civic Welfare Training Service)
Refers to the program of activities which are devoted to improving health, education, environment, entrepreneurship, safety, recreation, and morals of the citizentry.
NSTP Components
ROTC, LTS, and CWTS - that students are required to complete as a requisite for graduation.
Lead Agencies
The Commission on Higher Education, Department of National Defense, Philippine Association of State University and Colleges, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, and Coordinating Council of Private Educational Association of the Philippines, responsible for overseeing and coordinating the implementation of the NSTP program.
NSTP Students
Filipino students who are mandated to take NSTP and are supervised by school authorities in the design, formulation, adoption, and implementation of the different NSTP components.

Someone who plays an active and intelligent role as a member of the community, fulfills duties and obligations to the government and society, and possesses traits of respectfulness, courtesy, and consideration for others.
Faith
Being certain about realities we believe are true, but cannot see with our physical eyes.

Nationalism and Patriotism
The NSTP law intends to inculcate in the youth the values of

Is not part of the agency given the responsibility to implement NSTP
CHED, DND, TESDA
Lead agency in the implementation of NSTP
If there are at least 350 students and if either CWTS and LTS are implemented as requisite for graduation
A private higher and technical vocational education institution may offer ROTC component of NSTP only if
