They are tiny blood vessels where the exchange of oxygen, nutrients and other waste products happens. They connect

Double circuit

When the blood goes through the heart twice

First loop in the double circuit = Pulmonary circuit)

Blood goeas from heart to lungs to pick up oxygen and then back to the heart

second loop in the double circuit = Systemic circuit

The heart pumbs the ocygen filled blood trough the whole body and the returns it to the heart ti repeat the process.

What is blood made out of

• Red blood cells/ erythcytes

• White blood cells/ leukocytes

• platelets/ thrombocytes

• plasma

What do the smooth mussles in the arteries do

Depending if it is relaxed or not it can decide where the blood flows

Coronary arteries

Bring blood to your heart muscles so that they can get oxygen
