Metacom’s War
caused by the population growth in colonial cities and colonies so they had to move westward through expansion (westward expansion and encroachment of English colonists pushing out Indigenous people)
rejection of conversion to Christianity and Catholicism caused tensions: Chief Metacom started if after coming from driving out colonists trying to steal their land, they offended first then British launched counteroffensive and decimated tribes and enslaved Indigenous people
