Immunise against disease by introducing a small amount of dead or inactive pathogen in the body

What are antibiotics?

A substance produced by a microorganism to kill other microorganisms

What do antibiotics do?

Cure bacterial disease by killing infecting bacteria or preventing their growth

Do antibiotics help with viruses?

No because viruses live inside host cells

What is antibiotic resistance?

Resistance to a chemical poison - organisms survive exposure to a dose that it is normally lethal to
