Accuracy:
Definition: How close a measurement is to the true value.
Example: You measure the boiling point of water and get 100 °C — that’s accurate.
Validity:
Definition: Whether the experiment tests what it’s meant to test.
Example 1: If you're testing how sunlight affects plant growth and you keep water, soil, and pot size the same, the test is valid.
Example 2: If you're testing how exercise affects heart rate but measure temperature instead — that’s not valid.
Precision:
Definition: How close repeated measurements are to each other.
Example: You measure a reaction time five times and get 2.01 s, 2.00 s, 2.02 s — that’s precise.
Repeatability:
Definition: How consistent results are when the same person repeats the experiment using the same method.
Example: You perform an experiment three times and get the same result each time — it’s repeatable.
