Limits of Rostow’s Theory
Doesn’t take into account of Colonialism — which makes some developing countries dependent on developed countries.
Quite only takes into account Western countries (Eurocentrism).
Fordism
Production done in factory lines, usually done in a warehouse, and has a surplus.
Post-Fordism
Requires more skill and a smaller labor force that utilizes just-in-time delivery, only manufacturing products requested by consumers which leads to happier customers and more money, but can lead to shortages—if there is a shortage on a material—due to them using a just-in-time delivery.
Comparative Advantages
How well a country is able to produce a product while having a lower opportunity cost than others.
Competitive Advantages
The unique edge a firm or country has that allows it to outperform rivals, such as superior technology, branding, or efficency.
Complementary Advantages
How well a country’s products can trade with another country’s. Countries or Entities—2 or more—benefit from specializing in different but mutually supportive activities, enhancing overall outcomes through cooperation.
Intervening Obstacles
Something that prevents migrants from continuing their journey. (EX: Migrants running into financial issues and cannot afford to continue their migration).

Something positive that prevents migrants from continuing their move. (EX: Finding a good job/opportunity during their migration journey).
Ethonationalism
The belief that a nation should be defined by a shared ethnic identity, often promoting the dominance or unity of one ethnic group within a state.
Locational Dispute
A conflict over the exact placement or mapping of a boundary, often due to unclear or contested historical documents
Allocational Dispute
A conflict over the resources (like oil, water, or minerals) that lie on or across a boundary between two states.
FTZ (Free Trade Zones)
A designated area near ports or airports where goods can be imported, stored, or lightly processed without customs duties.
EPZ (Export Processing Zone)
A zone focused exclusively on manufacturing goods for export, offering incentives like tax exemptions and duty-free inputs.
