Indication
Suspected ACS, Acute cardiogenic pulmonary oedema
Contraindications
Allergy/ADR to aspirin or NSAID, Bleeding or clotting disorders, Current GI bleeding or peptic ulcers, Patient less than 18 yrs

tablet (white), 300 mg aspirin

Precautions
Possible aortic aneurysm or other conditions that may require surgery, pregnancy, Hx GI bledding or peptic ulcers, concurrent anticoagulant therapy
Side effects
epigastric pain/discomfort, nausea/vomiting, gastritis, GI bleeding, NSAID induced bronchospasms.
Adult Dose
300 mg chewed and followed by small sip of water (where possible).
