Direct realism definition
The claim that we perceive mind-independent objects immediately. Meaning when we perceive a object we are directly aware of its properties (shape, colour etc)
Indirect Realism Definition
The immediate objects of perception are mind-dependent (sense data). Therefore directly perceiving sense data, represents mind independent objects
Perceptual Variation definition
Is the phenomena that qualities of the object seem to change depending on the external factors to the object (position of perception etc)
Argument for hallucination
P1- in a hallucination i directly perceive an object
P2- When i hallucinate there is no physical object of my perception
C1- therefore the object i perceive in a hallucination isn’t a physical object
C2- Therefore, direct realism is false
