Ethnography
A detailed description of customary behavior and thought; a holistic approach that looks at the bigger picture of a culture.
Ethnology
The study of patterns of thought and behavior across cultures and how these patterns differ among human societies.
Anthropology
The study of humans, including their biology, culture, and evolution.
3D Ethnography
An in-depth, detailed description of customary behavior and thought within a single culture.
Four Subfields of Anthropology
Cultural (Culture), Biological/Physical, Archaeology, and Linguistic Anthropology.
Artifacts
Objects made or modified by humans, used to learn about past cultures and societies.
Holistic Approach
An integrative view that considers the whole system (culture, biology, archaeology, and language) to understand humans.
Antiquarians
People who collected artifacts with no interest in the origins/ background
