Used for actions happening now, routines, facts. -ar: hablo, -er: como, -ir: vivo

Pretérito Perfecto

Used for past actions with relevance to the present. he/has/ha + past participle

Used for completed past actions. -ar: hablé, -er/-ir: comí

Pretérito Imperfecto

Used for repeated/habitual past actions. -ar: hablaba, -er/-ir: comía

Past perfect. Used for actions before another past event. había + past participle

Futuro Simple

Used for actions that will happen. Infinitive + é, ás, á…

Futuro Perfecto

Used for actions that will have happened. habré + past participle

Condicional Simple

Used for hypotheticals or polite speech. Infinitive + ía, ías…

Condicional Perfecto

Used for what would have happened. habría + past participle

Presente de Subjuntivo

Used for doubt, emotion in the present/future. Opposite endings

Pretérito Perfecto de Subjuntivo

Used for completed hypothetical actions. haya + past participle
