Article 1, Section 1
The power to make laws is given to Congress (House of Reps. and Senate)
Article 1, Section 2
House of Rep. members are chosen every 2 years. Members must be 25+, must be a U.S citizen for at least 7 years, and must live in the state they are representing
Article 1, Section 3
Senate members serve a 6 year term. Members must be 30+, be a U.S citizen for at least 9 years, and must live in the state they represent. VP is president of the Senate

State decides how elections for Senate and House of Rep. are held. Congress meets at least once a year

Congress has the ability to oversee its own internal operations. Each house keeps a journal of its proceedings

Congress is paid for their services and members are protected from arrest during and traveling to meetings.

Gives Congress the power to establish and maintain an army and a navy. To establish post offices, create courts, and other duties. Congress can do what is necessary and proper to execute these duties
