Integers (I)

Numbers consisting of positive and negative integers, including zero.

Rational Numbers (Q)

Numbers that can be expressed in the form p/q, where p and q are integers and q ≠ 0.

Terminating or Repeating Decimal

Decimal expansion that either terminates or repeats.

Non-Terminating Non-Repeating (NTNR)

Decimal expansion that is non-terminating and non-repeating.

Irrational Number

A number that cannot be expressed as a fraction p/q, where p and q are integers.

Rationalization

The process of making the denominator a rational number.

Inserting Rational Numbers

Method for inserting rational numbers between two given rational numbers.

Square Root of a Non-Perfect Square

If 'm' is a positive integer but not a perfect square, then √m is irrational.

Cube Root of a Non-Perfect Cube

If 'm' is a positive integer but not a perfect cube, then 3√m is irrational.

Number Line

A line used to visualize real numbers and geometric lengths.
