Creatine
waste product stored in muscles. elevated levels indicated kidneys not working as well.
normal values .6 to 1.7
GFR levels
Stands for Glomular Filtration Rate.
Rate of blood filtration in kidneys per minute.
normal: 90 to 120 mL/min
PT value
Stands for Prothrombin Time
The time it takes for blood to clot
Normal: 11 to 13.5 seconds
PTT value
Stands for Partial Thromboplastin Time
Also measures blood coagulation time
Normal is 25 to 35 seconds
INR value
Stands for International Normalized Ratio
Another blood coagulation measurement
Normal: 0.8 to 1.2
Platelet range

Oxygen nasal cannula
Low Flow
1 to 4 liter per minute
24% to 36% of oxygen
Simple Oxygen Mask
Greater than 5 liters per minute
Delivers 35% to 60% of oxygen
Non- rebreather mask
One way valve
Highest concentration of oxygen
Most precise means of oxygen administration
Partial rebreather mask
No one way valve
Aerosol mask
When both hi-concentration of oxygen and humidity is needed
Flow rate 6 liters per minute or more
Oxygen concentration is 21% to 100%
Air-entrainment mask
Oxygen concentration values can be 24%, 28%, 35%, 40%, or 50%
Oxygen tent
For peds patients
For when humidity and higher oxygen concentrations is needed more than room air
Oxygen Hood
Infants only
Covers their head
Oxygen concentrations 21% to 100%
Ventilator
Delivers preset volume of oxygen therapy at a constant rate.
