Bunsen burner (Lab equipment which produces a single open gas flame, which is used for heating, sterilization, and combustion)

ring stand (support for apparatus)

pipestem “clay” triangle (can be placed on an iron ring to provide stage for crucible)

utility clamp (attaches to ring stand and holds test tube or thermometer)

iron ring (attaches to a ring stand to use as support for a beaker)

Evaporating dish (device used to evaporate solids and super saturated liquids)

mortar and pestle (tool used to crush, grind, and mix solid substances)

test tubes

Beaker (common vessel for holding liquids)

crucible and cover (container which can withstand high temperatures and is used for metal, glass, and pigment production)

wire gauze (often placed on iron ring to provide a “stage” for a beaker)

safety googles

corks (contain liquids in test tubes and flasks)

watch glass (used as a surface to evaporate a liquid, or to gold solids while being weighed, or as a cover for a beaker)

Erlenmeyer flask (may be used to hold liquids instead of beakers, when a smaller opening is preferred)

tongs (used to handle hot beakers and other glassware)

rubber stoppers (used to contain liquids in test tubes and flasks)

test tube holder (used to pick up and hold test tubes, often while heating)

Micropipettes/Dropper (used to transport a measured volume of liquid)

Forceps( handheld, hinged instrument used for grasping and holding small objects)

file (metalworking and woodworking tool used to cut fine amounts of material from a workpiece

wire brush (an abrasive instrument, used for cleaning rust and removing paint. Often used to clean test tubes

wash bottle (squeeze bottle with a nozzle, used to rinse various pieces of lab glassware, such as test tubes and round bottom flasks)

graduated cylinder (used to measure volume of liquids)

Thermometer

pipet (“pipettor” used to transport a measured volume of liquid)

buret (used to dispense a known amount of a liquid reagent in experiments for which such precision is necessary, such as titration experiment)

well plate (flat plate with multiple “wells” used as small test tubes)

scoopula & spatula (scoopula is used to take out and transfer larger quantities of solids. spatula is used to take out and transfer small quantities of solids)

funnel (place in an iron ring or top of a buret, used for filtration or the delivery of liquids)

test tube rack
