Coronal suture
A fibrous joint that connects the frontal bone to the parietal bones of the skull.
Ethmoid bone
A light and spongy bone located between the eyes, forming part of the nasal cavity and the orbits.
Frontal bone
The bone that forms the forehead and the upper part of the eye sockets.
Glabella
The smooth part of the frontal bone located between the eyebrows.
Inferior nasal concha
A thin, curved bone forming part of the lateral walls of the nasal cavity.
Infraorbital foramen
A small opening below the orbit of the eye through which the infraorbital nerve and vessels pass.
Lacrimal bone
A small bone forming part of the eye socket that contains the lacrimal sac.
Mandible
The lower jawbone, the largest bone of the face.
Mandibular teeth
The teeth located in the mandible.
Maxilla
The upper jawbone that forms the central part of the face.
Maxillary teeth
The teeth located in the maxilla.
Mental foramen
An opening in the mandible that allows nerves and blood vessels to pass through.
Middle nasal concha
A thin, scroll-like bone that forms part of the lateral wall of the nasal cavity.
Orbit
The bony cavity that contains the eye.
Parietal bone
Two bones that form the sides and roof of the skull.
Sphenoid bone
A complex bone located at the base of the skull that plays a key role in the structure of the skull.
Supraorbital notch
An opening in the frontal bone located above the orbit for the supraorbital nerve.
Temporal bone
The bone located at the sides and base of the skull, containing structures for hearing.
Vomer
A bone forming part of the nasal septum.
Zygomatic bone
The bone that forms the cheekbone and part of the eye socket.
