Aim

A general statement about what the researcher intends to study, it states the purpose of the study

Hypothesis

A precise and testable statement that states the relationship between variables

Operationalise

The process of clearly defining the variables to make them testable and measurable

Alternative Hypothesis

This is a hypothesis that states you will find something in the research

Null Hypothesis

This predicts that there will not be a correlation or relationship found in the research

One-tailed Hypothesis

Makes a more specific claim about the direction of the difference or correlation found

Two-tailed Hypothesis

States that there will be a difference or correlation, but not the direction
