Por is the reason BEHIND something, para is so something happens (FORWARD).

Preterite vs. Imperfect

Preterite describes completed actions in the past, while imperfect describes ongoing or habitual actions.

Argentinian Marxist. Helped with Cuban Revolution and became the right-hand man of the leader of Cuba.

Fidel Castro

Led Cuban revolution and became the dictator leader of Cuba.
