Superior and Inferior Vena Cava
Where blood low in oxygen enters the heart.
Right Atrium
The first major chamber of the heart.
Right Ventricle
The second major chamber of the heart. This is where blood low in oxygen gets pumped to the lungs through the pulmonary artery.
Tricuspid valve
Opens from the right atrium to send blood to the right ventricle.
Pulmonary valve
Opens from the right ventricle to send blood to the lungs through the pulmonary artery.
Left atrium
The third major chamber of the heart. Receives oxygenated blood from the lungs.
Mitral valve
Opens from the left atrium to send blood to left ventricle.
Left Ventricle
The fourth major chamber of the heart. Sends oxygenated blood through the aortic valve to the aortic artery.
Aortic valve
Opens to send oxygenated blood to the aorta to the whole body.
