Genesis 1:1

God created the heaven and the earth *in the beginning*. *Jesus was in the beginning with God.* (John 1:1-2)

Genesis 1:26-27

*God created humans in His own image.*

Genesis 3:19

*Physical food is obtained through work* (in the sweat of your face you will eat bread)

Genesis 26:18-21

Isaac re-dug wells in the valley of Gerar because the Philistines had filled in the ones Abraham had made. *The herdsmen of Gerar strove with Isaac about the well*, calling the water theirs. The first well was Esek, the second was Sitnah.

Exodus 16:4

*Manna was supplied by the Lord* for the Israelites to see whether or not they would walk in God's laws. *CR TO JOHN 6:32*

Exodus 20:8-11

God commanded the Israelites to *remember the Sabbath and keep it holy*. No work was to be done of that day.

Exodus 40:34-38

The cloud covered the Tabernacle, and *the visible manifestation of God's glory* filled it. It appeared as a cloud by day and as fire by night.

Leviticus 8:10, 12

*Moses anointed the tabernacle, all that was in it, and Aaron, to sanctify them*, and then poured anointing oil on Aaron's head.

Numbers 21:4-9

The children of Israel went up from Mount Hor, travelling near the Red Sea up to Edom. *The people spoke against God and Moses*, complaining about the wilderness and the manna God sent them. *The Lord sent fiery serpents and many of the people died. The people confessed their sin, and anyone who was bitten and looked at the bronze serpent on a pole would live.*

Deuteronomy 6:5

*Worship* by loving the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and might.

Deuteronomy 18:15-19

God told Moses that He would raise up *a Prophet*. Whoever would not listen to God's words, which the Prophet spoke in His Name, it would be required of him. Jesus is the *Prophet about whom Moses wrote*.

1 Kings 1:33-35

David called for Solomon to ride on his mule to Gihon and for *Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet to anoint him as king.*

1 Kings 19:13-16

Elijah stepped out into the entrance of the cave, and wrapped his face in his mantle. He believed that he was the only prophet of the Lord still alive. In the still small voice, the Lord told *Elijah* to go to the wilderness of Damascus and *anoint Hazael as king of Syria, Jehu* (son of Nimshi) *as king of Israel, and Elisha* (son of Shaphat of Abel-meholah) *as the next prophet.*

2 Chronicles 7:1-3

After Solomon's prayer, fire came down from heaven, consuming the sacrifices, and *the glory of God filled His Temple, and the people praised and worshiped the Lord* by saying "for He is good; for His mercy endureth forever."

Psalm 34:8

Taste and see that *the Lord is good!* The person who trusts in Him is blessed.

Psalm 69:9

Psalm 105:5-7

Isaiah 9:2, 6

Those that walk in darkness have seen a great light. The light has shined on those dwelling in the valley of the shadow of death. Jesus is the Mighty God and our Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 12:2-5

*Worship* by singing the Lord's praises and giving thanks for His salvation.

Isaiah 52:7

How beautiful are the feet of those *who bring the good news of salvation!*

Isaiah 53:5-7

*We are healed by Christ's wounds \-- second verse of "Behold the Lamb (Communion Hymn)"* Jesus, *the Lamb of God*, was brought as a *lamb* to the slaughter, and took all our iniquities upon Himself.

Isaiah 53:10-11

*Jesus pleased God by His offering* and justified many by bearing their iniquities. *He is worthy to open the seals.* (Rev. 5)

Isaiah 61:1-2

*PROPHECY QUOTED IN LUKE 4:14-19* Jesus was anointed by God to preach good tidings to the meek, to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of prison to those bound: to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, God's day of vengeance, and to comfort those who mourn.

Lamentations 3:22-23

Great is *the Lord's faithfulness*. Because of His mercies and unfailing compassion, we are not consumed. They are new every morning.

Ezekiel 36:24-28

God's people would be cleansed from their filthiness, idols, and sins, be given a new heart and *the Spirit, which would enable them to walk in God's statutes and keep His judgments.*

Daniel 4:3

Nebuchadnezzar exclaimed that God's signs are great, and His wonders are mighty. *His kingdom in an everlasting kingdom* and His dominion is from generation to generation.

Daniel 7:13-14

Jesus, *the Son of Man* was given an everlasting dominion, glory, and kingdom.

Matthew 1:21

The devil took Jesus up on a high mountain and offered to give Him the whole world if He would fall down and worship him. Jesus replied by quoting Deuteronomy 6:13-14 which tells us to *worship by serving the Lord and Him only.*

Matthew 4:18-22

*The calling of Andrew, Peter, James, and John* to become fishers of men. This took place by *the Sea of Galilee*.

Matthew 7:28-29

People were astonished at Jesus' doctrine, for *He taught with authority (EXOUSIA), not like their teachers of the law.*

Matthew 8:16-17

*Jesus fulfilled Isaiah's prophecy* (Is. 53:4) *that the Messiah would heal our illnesses and diseases.*

Matthew 8:23-27

There was *a fierce storm on the Sea of Galilee*, and Jesus was asleep in the boat. At His disciples' cries, He rebuked the winds and sea, and the storm was stilled. The disciples marvelled. *The wind and the sea obey Jesus.*

Matthew 11:20-23

*Jesus pronounced woes on three Galilean cities * (Chorazin, Bethsaida, and Capernaum) for their unrepentance. These were the cities were most of His mighty works were done. Chorazin and Bethsaida were described as worse that Tyre and Sidon; Capernaum was worse than Sodom.

*The Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.*

*The kingdom of heaven is like a hidden treasure in a field*. Whoever finds it is filled with joy and gives up all he has to obtain it.

Mark 8:22-25

*The blind man whom Jesus touched twice to heal was from Bethsaida.* Jesus led him by the hand out of the town and spit on his eyes. The first time, he described the people he saw as walking trees. The second time, he was completely healed.

Mark 14:24

*Mark's account of the Last Supper.* In instituting Communion, Jesus said that the cup represented *His blood which was shed. He is worthy to open the seals.* (Rev. 5)

Luke 1:26-35

*1st stanza of "Holy Spirit of Messiah* Six months after Elisabeth's conception, an angel appeared to Mary. Mary conceived Jesus *by the power of the Holy Spirit.*

Luke 2:41-52

*2nd stanza of "Holy Spirit of Messiah"* Describes Jesus' trip to Jerusalem when He was 12. *He grew in power and wisdom through the Spirit.*

Luke 4:2

*Jesus was tempted* for 40 days by the devil, and was hungry afterwards.

Luke 4:14-19

Jesus came to Galilee, and was famous throughout the region, teaching in their synagogues and being glorified by all. He then went to the *synagogue* in Nazareth, where He read the *prophecy* about Himself in *Isaiah 61:1-2*.

Luke 6:13-16

From among all Him disciples, Jesus names the Twelve the *apostles*. The passage then lists them all.
*John was one of the 12 apostles.*

Luke 7:11-15

*Jesus raised a widow's son from the dead in Nain.*

Luke 9:20

Peter declared that Jesus is *the Christ* of God.

*Second stanza of "To God be the Glory"* While on the cross beside Him, *the thief believed in Jesus.*

Luke 24:6-8

Two angels declared to the women that Jesus had risen again, just like He had told them He would while He was in Galilee. Jesus was to be delivered into the hands of sinful men and crucified, but *on the third day He rose again. (He raised up the temple of His body)* They remembered Jesus' words.

John 7:37-39

Jesus stood and cried on the last day of the feast, that any who thirsted should come to Him and drink. *The living water that Jesus described was the Spirit* which those who believe on Him would receive after He had been glorified.

John 8:12

*Jesus bore witness to Himself,* calling Himself the Light of the World.

John 8:31

*The disciples of Christ abide and continue in His Word.*

John 9:2

Jesus' disciples addressed Him as *Master* when asking whether the man born blind had sinned or his parents.
