Practical to make an ester (4)
Put 1cm^3 of carboxylic acid and 1cm^3 of alcohol into a boiling tube.
Carefully add a few drops of concentrated sulfuric acid.
Put in a 80 C water bath or 5 mins.
Cool contents then pour mixture into a beaker of sodium carbonate.
