Matter
Anything that takes up space and has mass.
Volume
The amount of space that something takes up
Solid
A state of matter with a definite shape and volume; molecules vibrate in place and are tightly packed.
Liquid
A state of matter with a definite volume but not a definite shape; molecules move from place to place and are loosely packed.
Gas
A state of matter where particles are spread out and can move freely; has no definite shape or volume.
Mass
The amount of matter in an object; measured in grams (g).
Weight
A measure of gravitational force on an object.
Density
A measure of the amount of mass in a given volume; measured in g/cm³.
Electrical Conductivity
A measure of how well an electric current can move through an object.
Thermal Conductivity
The rate at which a substance transfers heat.
Solubility
The ability of a substance to dissolve in another.
Luster
A gentle sheen or shine, often associated with metals due to their reflective surface.
Malleability
The ability of a substance to be molded or shaped without breaking.
Magnetic Attraction
Attractive and repulsive forces between objects.
Melting Point
The temperature at which a solid changes to a liquid.
Boiling Point
The temperature at which a liquid changes to a gas.
