Urethritis
Inflammation of the urethra due to infection or irritant.
Cystitis
Inflammation of the bladder, often caused by a UTI.
Pyelonephritis
A serious kidney infection that may result from lower urinary tract infections.
E. Coli
The most common bacteria associated with urinary tract infections.
Hydronephrosis
Swelling of a kidney due to a build-up of urine, often caused by obstruction.
Renal Calculi
Also known as kidney stones; hard deposits made of minerals and salts that form in the kidneys.
Hematuria
The presence of blood in urine, indicating various potential medical issues.
Sepsis
A life-threatening condition that arises when the body's response to infection causes injury to its own tissues.
Urethral Stricture
Narrowing of the urethra, often resulting from injury or infection, leading to urination problems.
Pyridium
An over-the-counter medication used to relieve urinary pain and burning.
Antibiotics
Medications used to treat bacterial infections, crucial in managing UTIs.
Intermittent Catheterization
A procedure to relieve urinary retention by periodically draining the bladder.
Bacteriuria
The presence of bacteria in urine, often indicating a urinary tract infection.

Substances that kill sperm which may also irritate the urinary tract.
Urinary Retention
Inability to empty the bladder completely, leading to potential UTIs.
