Main idea
A triangular prism is a 3D shape with two matching triangle bases
Formula
Volume = area of base × depth area of triangle = (base × height) ÷ 2
Steps
Find area of one triangle multiply that area by the prism’s depth
Example
Base × height ÷ 2 = area then area × depth = volume
