the self itself is distinct & unique from other selves

the self can exist within itself with its own thoughts & volition

it has an enduring personality that allows it to be studied & measured
Unitary
the self itself is the center of all experiences & thoughts that happened at a person
Private
each person can process thoughts internally, and it is inaccessible to others

an Anthropologist that explains the paradox of being the same person while adapting to different contexts through two concepts: Moi & Personne
Moi
it is a person's basic identity, a sense of who they are
Personne
the social concepts, an identity enforced by society, expectations of how to behave based on the society structure
