Indications

Insulin – Actrapid Preparations

Diabetes mellitus, both type 1 and 2 or gestational diabetes

Eradication of H. pylori, with other agents

Frusemide – APO

Oedema associated with heart failure, hepatic cirrhosis, renal impairment and nephrotic syndrome

Enoxaparin sodium – Clexane and Clexane Forte

(Blood thinner) prevention of VTE in surgical patients and in high-risk medical patients immobilised due to acute illness, treatment of venous thrombosis, prevention of extracorporeal thrombosis during haemodialysis, treatment of acute STEMI, non-STEMI and unstable angina

Ibuprofen – Nurofen

Rheumatoid arthritis and juvenile idiopathic arthritis, Osteoarthritis, pain (especially due to inflammation -> period pain); headache, postoperative pain, fever, closure of patent ductus arteriosus

Paracetamol – Panamax

Mild-to-moderate pain, fever

Metoclopramide hydrochloride – Pramin

Nausea, vomiting, gastric stasis (e.g. post gastric surgery, diabetic gastroparesis), difficult small intestinal intubation

Potassium chloride – Span-K (New formulation)

Salbutamol (Inhaler) – Ventolin CFC-free inhaler with counter

Symptom relief of asthma COPD, prevention of exercise-induced bronchoconstriction, management of preterm labour

Captopril – Zedace

High BP

hypertension, chronic heart failure (with reduced ejection fraction as part of standard treatment), post MI in patients with L ventricular dysfunction, type 1 diabetes (diabetic nephropathy)
