Lethargy
A state of fatigue or lack of energy.
Thickening and swelling of the skin
Dermatological symptoms that can be associated with various medical conditions.
Weight gain
An increase in body weight due to various factors, including fluid retention, diet, or medical conditions.
Fatigue
A state of extreme tiredness and lack of energy.
Depression
A mood disorder characterized by persistent feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and loss of interest.
myxdemia
Signs and symptoms: thickening and swelling of the skin lethargy, weight gain, fatigue, depression, sensitivity to the cold.
Etiology: The condition is caused by a deficiency of thyroid hormone levels in the adult (hypothyroidism)
FX:
Progeria
Symptoms resemble normal human aging but occur in young children. wrinkled face, baldness, large head.
a rare genetic disorder that causes rapid aging in children. Caused by a deficiency of the thyroid hormone.
Fx:
Cushing Syndrome
Known as moon face
Typically from overuse of oral medication, some times the result could be a brain tumor.

Type 1 diabetes Melitus
is a chronic condition in which the pancreas produces little or no insulin, leading to high blood sugar levels. Symptoms include increased thirst, frequent urination, and weight loss.
Type 1 diabetes is a chronic condition in which the B cells of the pancreas are destroyed, resulting in an inability to produce insulin. This autoimmune condition often manifests in childhood or adolescence.
FX:
Type 2 Diabetes
is a chronic condition characterized by insulin resistance and relative insulin deficiency, leading to elevated blood sugar levels. Symptoms may include increased thirst, frequent urination, fatigue, blurred vision, sores that heal slowly, erectile dysfunction, and numbness or tingling in the hands or feet.
in this type the receptors become less responsive to insulin, resulting in impaired glucose uptake. Excess weight and inactivity appear to be contributing factors. (NIDDM)
FX:
Diabetes Insidious
Patient experiences extreme thirst and produces a large quantity of urine.
Diabetes Insidious when the body is unable to regulate fluids. damage to the posterior pulpituitary gland causes an inability to produce sufficient antidiuretic hormone (ADH). The kidney tubes do not respond to the ADH.
Hyperthyroidism
Symptoms include: sudden weight loss, rapid heartbeat, increased appetite, sweating, and anxiety.
Causesmay include Graves' disease, thyroid nodules, or inflammation of the thyroid gland. This condition arises from the overproduction of thyroid hormones, potentially affecting various bodily functions.
FX: An overactive thyroid causing excess hormone production.
Graves Disease
The thyroid significantly enlarges with increased heartbeat, muscle weakness, disturbed sleep, tremor, weight loss, anxiety, and irritably.
Graves disease is cause by a malfunction in the bodies immune system, leading to the overproduction of thyroid hormones.
FX: An autoimmune disorder affecting the thyroid gland, leading to hyperthyroidism and various physical and emotional symptoms.
Addison Disease
The symptoms develop slowly and may include muscle weakness, fatigue, weight loss, low blood pressure, and darkening of the skin. Addison's disease occurs when the adrenal glands do not produce enough hormones, particularly cortisol.
Addison disease results when the adrenal glands produce insufficient amounts of cortisol and aldosterone, leading to various metabolic disruptions.
FX:
