Intolerable acts

• In response to Boston Tea Party

• Boston port closure until destroyed tea was paid for

• Replaced Massa. town meetings & elected council w one appointed by the crown

• Quartering Act; soldiers can now be kept in any private occupied building

Tea Act

• Br.E.In. Trading co to ship straight to America & gave monopoly

• Made tea cheaper for colonist; rejected bc buying would support British taxes (tax on soil)
