Sex

The biological distinctions between males, females, and people who are intersex.

Gender

The behavior, feelings, and attitudes a culture associated with a specific sex.

Intersex

Possessing male and female biological sexual characteristics at birth.

Gender Role

Expected behaviors, attitudes, and traits for men and women.

Gender Identity

Our personal sense of being male, female, neither, a combination, regardless of whether this matches our assigned sex at birth.

Social Learning Theory

We learn social behavior by observing and imitating and by being rewarded or punished.

Aggression

Any physical, verbal, or sexual behavior intended to harm someone physically or emotionally.

Sexuality

Our thoughts, feelings, and actions related to our physical attraction to another.
