Asymmetrical Meters
Meters with odd numbers of subdivisions so that the measures cannot be divided into equal beats

A piece where meter signatures rapidly change

The aural phenomenon of simultaneous rhythmic streams

The notation of two or more simultaneous distinct meters in different voices or parts Often the parts are notated in different meters but the time sig. may be the same, and the meter implied through note groupings and accent patterns.
