Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)
Characterized by excessive anxiety and worry occurring more days than not for at least 6 months, accompanied by symptoms such as restlessness, fatigue, difficulty concentrating, irritability, muscle tension, and sleep disturbances.
Social Anxiety Disorder (Social Phobia)
Intense fear or anxiety about one or more social situations where scrutiny by others is possible, leading to avoidance or distress in those situations.
Separation Anxiety Disorder
Developmentally inappropriate fear or anxiety about separation from attachment figures, marked by distress and worry about losing them.
Panic Disorder
Recurrent unexpected panic attacks followed by persistent concern about having more attacks or changing behavior to avoid them.
Specific Phobia
Fear or anxiety about a specific object or situation that almost always provokes immediate fear or anxiety, leading to avoidance.
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
Presence of obsessions (intrusive thoughts) and/or compulsions (repetitive behaviors) that are time-consuming and distressing.
Body Dysmorphic Disorder
Preoccupation with perceived defects in physical appearance that are not noticeable to others, leading to significant distress.
Major Depressive Disorder (MDD)
Characterized by depressed mood or loss of interest/pleasure in activities, along with additional symptoms such as weight changes, sleep disturbances, and feelings of worthlessness.
Bipolar I Disorder
Diagnosis requires at least one manic episode, which may be preceded or followed by hypomanic or major depressive episodes.
Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder (DMDD)
Severe recurrent temper outbursts that are out of proportion to the situation and persistently irritable or angry mood.
Histrionic Personality Disorder
Pervasive pattern of excessive emotionality and attention-seeking behavior.
Narcissistic Personality Disorder
Characterized by grandiosity, need for admiration, and lack of empathy, with a pattern of behavior beginning in early adulthood.
Avoidant Personality Disorder
Pervasive pattern of social inhibition, feelings of inadequacy, and hypersensitivity to negative evaluation.
Dependent Personality Disorder
Excessive need to be taken care of, leading to submissive and clinging behaviors and fear of separation.
Schizophrenia
A major psychological disorder characterized by delusions, hallucinations, disorganized speech/behavior, and negative symptoms.
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
Disorder characterized by intrusive memories of a traumatic event, avoidance of reminders of the trauma, and heightened arousal symptoms.
Somatic Symptom Disorder
One or more somatic symptoms that are distressing or disrupt daily life, along with excessive thoughts or behaviors regarding the symptoms.
