Hindu-Buddhist. Controlled trade between India and China due to holding of Straight of Malacca. Chola got mad and destroyed cities.

Khmer Empire

Water-Based Empire. Was originally Hindu-Mahayana Buddhist but the lower class suddenly undermined the elite and became Theravada Buddhist. Also, lost to the Sukhothai Kingdom.

Sukhothai Kingdom

Originally part of Khmer. Revolted, sieged Khmer capital, left them in “Dark Age“

Sinhala Dynasties

Present day Sri Lanka, Buddhist before having a centralized government, and irrigation was a reason for economic growth.
