Election/Revolution of 1800
Jefferson and Burr tie → house of reps decides who’s pres.
Constitutional crisis → resolved by 12th amendment (vice pres. Runs with pres.)
Significance: change of political party in both pres. and in congress (democratic reps, gain majority) peaceful transfer of power from one party to the other (nation did not collapse)
