Ph, temp, oxygen levels

Psychrophile:

grows best 0-20 Celsius

Mesophile:

Grows best 20-40 Celsius

Thermophile:

grows best 40-100 Celsius

Thermoduric:

heat resistant but not reproducing, can survive pasteurization (milk Spoilage),

Psychrotroph and Psychrotrophic:

grows best 0-5 Celsius, Problems with refrigerated food.

Pasteurization:

heating up the liquid to kill off bacterial colonies up to a certain temp.

Thermal death time

minimum length of time in which all microbes and their endospores in a liquid culture are killed at a given temperature

Thermal death point

lowest temperature at which all the microbes and their endospores in a liquid culture are killed after 10 minutes
