Molecular weight
The weight of a molecule calculated from the atomic weights of its constituent atoms.
Molar mass
The mass of one mole of a substance, usually expressed in grams per mole (g/mol).
Mole ratio
The ratio of the number of moles of one substance to the number of moles of another substance in a balanced chemical equation.
Mass-to-mass conversion
A process that requires the use of both molar mass and mole ratios to convert between the masses of different substances.
Reactants
Substances that undergo a chemical change in a reaction.
Products
Substances that are formed as a result of a chemical reaction.
Coefficient
A number in front of a reactant or product in a chemical equation that tells how many moles or molecules are involved.
Conversion factor
A ratio used to express how many of one unit is equal to another unit.
